Packaging Health Services
The country faces a double burden of disease comprising noncommunicable diseases, mental health, and injuries, and communicable and infectious diseases. The infrastructure is innadequate and standards, along with poor-quality services have weakened public trust, resulting in just 20% of the population using public-sector first level health care services. Government to improve coverage and functionality of primary and promotive health services by formulating and ensuring the availability of a minimum essential service package that includes family medicine, new-born survival, birth spacing and contraceptives, non-communicable disease, mental health, under-nutrition, disability, gerontology, and other services.
